Hey guys, I am wondering if anyone knows weather Kershaw plans on releasing a high end production update to the Volt 3600. Doesn't even have to be composite... I can imagine a full M390 blade with Ti/G10 scales (imaginations run wild from there). Given the original's popularity, I think it makes all the more sense for Kershaw and RJ to revive this gem of a folder. I never owned the original but always held it in high regard, there is one for sale in the exchange I saw and it has revived my interest as I think that its a beauty top to bottom and such a winning design, I can see a successor standing up to the ZT line where it seems the high end KAI's are all being relegated to...

I think the zt600 rj flipper would probably fit the bill. Ti framelock with carbon fiber scales and a 4.25 blade(IIRC) of carpenter b75 steel. Similar to bg42. Doesn't come out until next year though, or that's the planned release.

Thats what I was thinking! looks It looks similar, but is a bit larger to it. There is also the Volt 2 and the new volt ss.

I've always wanted the Volt 3600. It's just hard to find and out of my price range. My preferences seem to be a little off what most people like though, my dream volt would be in Sandvik, with G-10 handles, without the assisted opening.

I looked at some ZT600 proto pics, it is nice also (def nice enough for me to snag one) but feel it would be nicer if it loses the recurve and the diamond handle pattern. The original's blade is so dang nice, they should leave it as is. I truly feel like a faithful reproduction of the original's profile would be such an obvious win for Kershaw's high end line. Thanks for the replies guys, I hope this idea picks up steam.

Heh. I kinda felt that the handle texture was more suited towards more "tactical" models, and in my opinion it didn't seem to go with the smooth and contoured inlay. I imagine though that if they redid the 3600, they could use something else instead of CPM D2 in the spine.

Meh, I guess if people felt the same as me there'd have been clamoring for this already.
