Von Tempsky strip and patina help please!

So I got a svord Von Tempsky. The blade is awesome, bigger than I thought it would be. Anyways, I've never done this before, but I want to strip the crappy coating off and give it a nice patina.

Paint stripper... your choice of wood finish... your choice of patina maker (like the vinegar in cheap yellow mustard)

If you don't like it, start over with the stripper on the wood. Or sand a little on the metal.

Lots of wood finishes, and lots of patina makers to choose from.

BTW, make sure you post pics in hand for before and after's! Inquiring minds want to check it out.
