You know, it's interesting that some of these new companies like Vosteed have just prided themselves on making quality products. Vosteed quality control is outstanding. In a day and age where it is not in fashion to actually get value in a product or service for the money you spend, Vosteed is a breath of fresh air. I always marvel at the fact that Vosteed and Civivi have prided themselves on tight tolerances, fit and finish, and producing a quality item.
Some of the mainstream knife manufacturers (not gonna name any names) have evidently discovered that consumers are not worth the effort to produce quality knives, with an emphasis on quality control being a significant priority. Such is the country we live in today, but Vosteed, in its infancy, granted, has raised the bar for expectations. I have a few of their Raccoon knives and just got a Corgi, and no matter how hard I try, I can't find any cons on these knives. I've already cut myself on the Raccoon 3 times since I bought it - not the knife's fault, just my carelessness and failure to respect the factory edge on the blade. After I cut myself this last time, all I could do was smile. I don't know if you have to be a knife guy to understand that feeling or not, but it never gets old to know that you just got your money's worth out of your purchase. And, I would venture to say that's a rare thing these days.
