Please show your support for our troops by voting for one of these pics featuring the troops.

I would love to see 10th MTN win, but I also have a Gunny cousin. That puts me in a quandary since I don't know who to vote for. :D

Please remember these people are the reason we can argue openly about whether we should be saying "Merry Christmas," "Happy Holidays," or whatever.

God Bless the 10th MTN and the Marine Corps!

"This e-mail was sent to me" ... hoo boy, the Community Center moderators just WUV it when people paste in forwarded emails. Who knows how long ago the web page that one links to expired ... like all forwarded emails you can expect that one to go on circulating at least as long as the English language endures....

The above link works. The info is timely. I actually took the time to verify, and have been e-mailing the above Col. this very evening.

If I have in fact broken a rule I sincerely apologize.

Merry Christmas.

I appreciate you taking care of those people up there. I donated a knife and received a medallion from the CSM I was dealing with. I will cherish it always.

NV,

This is one and only instance where I will allow this type of thread to stay open. He was asked to remove portions of his post and he did so. He is not selling anything nor is the site he is linking to.

KV, IMO, asking folks to manipulate the results of a photo contest, however good his intentions, is not fair play. You have been consistent with these types of posts before.

That's my (remaining) problem with it -- he's asking people to vote in a best photo contest for reasons other than thinking it's the best photo. That doesn't mean the post shouldn't be allowed; that's up to the forum moderators, but I'm not going to go help screw up the photo contest.

This is the kind of thing I expect in junior high school, get all your friends to vote for your photo or your friend's photo, try to turn everything into a popularity contest....

He can ask all he wants. Whether or not people vote is up to them. It's not my place to tell people what to vote for. They may vote for something else once they see the other pics. IMO, everyone is getting a fair shot. This forum will have little impact on the results.

I never participate in these load the vote promotions, but I am so glad that after a lot of struggle, I got my son to join the army, and that he did his service with the 10th mountain.

I still won't vote.
