OK!!! Lets cast our votes for the best ugly knifemaker.
My vote go to Bob (southriv)The bandaids did it. A guy that goes thru that much pain and comes up with a product like that deserves something.:D :D :D :D

I have to go with Bob also. That knife wins hands down even without the bandaids, (they were a nice touch however:D )

George,
Is Bob really THAT ugly? Not that I've seen any pictures of him or anything. :D

...Oh! His knife gets my vote as well.

"Heck, I can't even afford my own knives!"

Ugly & proud of it!!... and my bike, though not ugly, can get ugly.

Also, since I don't beleive in voting for myself - I'll vote for George's throwing knife...George, I hope you didn't put your mark on that!

Bob

I'll go with Bob too, just because it makes me feel better about myself to think he can finally make an ugly knife.

I can finally post on the forums! My vote goes to Bob also. Its the black tape and band-aids that cinched it. The rest of you guys are mere amatures compared to these tactics for ugly:eek:

IG - I guess then that its only fair that I put my mark on my ugly knife, too...I am also humbled by the out pouring of support from fellow forumites....

I just have to say, I delivered that ugly tanto yesterday, and he liked it! Kept showing it to customers all day (I tried to hide). Then on the way out when we closed told me again how much he liked it.

The moral of this story:

"The customer is always right." :D But sometimes it really hurts. Right IG?

I vote for Bob. I did not think anyone made an uglier knife than me. Bob, you show much promise with a knife that ugly. May the force be with you.

.....with Master Smiths weighing in, I am truly inspired to continue on my ugly knife quest

You're right Dave, give the customer what they want. I had one lady who wanted a bird knife with a PURPLE stag handle! Man, I didn't even take a picture of that one.
