The big brown truck paid me a visit today and dropped off my brand new VTAC. It is absolutely superb; more than I'd expected (I have damn high expectations for something like this,) and everything I'd hoped for. Quite simply, it's as good (or better, even,) as everybody says it is. Its size, weight, and balance are perfect. The damn thing almost swings itself. It just feels "right." It's respectably sharp, a good solid working edge. Not "shaving sharp" by any means, (as stated numerous times before) but it easily sliced through the UPS box and drew some blood in a careless moment. The handle is a miracle in itself; there's nearly no vibration even with the hardest chop. I haven't gotten a chance to throw it yet, but I'm sure it'll perform up to and beyond the limits of my personal ability (maybe more on this later. . .) The sheath is good too, though I'll probably appreciate it more after I've had an opportunity to carry the 'hawk for a bit. The velcro on the liner was a pleasant surprise.

I could probably sit here and rave for another half hour, but it's been a long day, and I'm tired. I'll just sum it up by saying, "The finest tool, the fiercest weapon," isn't just propaganda. It's the plain and simple truth of the matter. I would trust the VTAC to ably perform whatever task I might require of it. It hereby recieves my most sterling (if somewhat humble,) endorsement. Finally, I'd like to thank the people at ATC for making availabe such an excellent and admirable piece of equipment.

P.S. My mother's reveiw- "Wow! It feels a lot different than you think it should! Looks like a roofing hammer. . ."

I've had my Lagana VTAC since the first day they came out and it is one of my treasures...A true combat tomahawk.
