Did some chopping with the VTAC on dead hardwoods. It cut through like a champ, with out binding, and the spike sticks in and holds nicely.

Throwing this hawk is truly a dream. The balance and relatively light wieght make it easy to get a "handle" on spin and distance, and it grabs hold and sticks superbly. The points on all the corners are so sharp it is amazing.

Very comfortable to maintain a grip, and the handle really does absorb most of the shock.

Been working out some CQB stuff with it and will be posting a pic series soon of some ideas for use in CQB, or I'll send to Andy and have him post.

Best,

~Brian.

Good stuff Brian, as always.

Yes, indeed post the pics or send them to me and I'll get them up here.

hey Brian i'd be interested in seeing the advantages/disadvantages of the vtac in a woodland enviroment in comparison to a big survival knife.

if all is equal the vtac would win with the cool :cool:factor
