I've been eying the fixed blade Vulcan for a little while. The biggest issue I have is that it's a tanto blade.

Chris or anyone at SOG, I saw the fixed Vulcan is discontinued. I assume poor sales. Has it ever been considered to make it with the same recurved blade shape of the standard Vulcan folder? If that we're available, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat! If you guys could make that, that'd be great! Of course it'd have to still be VG10 and not some revised Chinese version made of some aus6 equivalent.

Would anyone but me care for a clip point version of the fixed Vulcan?

& hopefully with a better sheathe. The leather one that the old fixed blade came with is kinda lacking in retention.

Where did you see that it was discontinued?

It's too bad, because other than the blade shape, I think it'd make a great knife! Truth be told, since SOG got bought out, in my opinion, things have gone down hill. More cheap knives, and more knives that don't scream "SOG" without using giant logos. Oh well. Maybe things will turn around. I got a titanium Vision for Christmas last year because I found out those had been discontinued also. I'm just one guy, but newer knives (specifically new for 2013) from SOG just blend into the crowd.
