Has anyone had any luck in dying or changing the color of vulcanized liner material?

I am wanting to dye or alter white material to different shades of red, pinks ect but am having a hard time getting it to take through the entire thickness of the material.

Any suggestions or thought would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I use the stuff for scaling knives, but I never tried to dye it. I don;t know what that stuff is made of, but it is very dense. I can see how you're having a problem, as dense and hard as it is. Why don;t you just order some in the color you want? Jants has quite a bit of it.

I have looked at all the Jantz type places, both in my catalogs and online and I have not found any pink liner material.

Check out Chuck and Jessica Bybee at Alphaknifesupply.com. I get my liner material from them and they are great to deal with:thumbup: They have pink, but it's not vulcanized, it's G-10 which is actually tougher than the vulcanized as far as I know and is really easy to work with. It's not affected by moisture like the vulcanized, it's very affordable, and they have all kinds of different thicknesses.
