This is the second w2 class I have taught at the school. I had 8 students they started saturday forging their blades to shape then that afternoon they ground the blades and set their hamons. Sunday they finish ground their blades them sanded and polished their hamons. I wanted to show the results as I think they all did very well as most of them have very few knives under their belts. hamon.jpghamon2.jpghamon3.jpghamon4.jpghamon5.jpg

Fine job, Dave. There's some lucky guys to have you as a teacher.

Wish I were up there hanging around...

Man, I never know about this cool stuff that's going on right in our "backyard."

Super cool Dave... And that's sure one slick way to get more time, temp, clay, etc.---- research and practice in without having to make so many blades yourself! ;) :D

Great stuff my friend. :)

Nice! Having been to one of your classes I can attest to the fine quality of the instruction and facilities.

Thank you all very much it was fun. John I would be thrilled to get you in my shop for a few days O the fun we would have. Don thanks for the really great steel I may need to make the blanks a bit smaller for the next class . Nick call me, really. Stuart I am looking forward to the day you are back in in my shop perhaps as a teacher.

Dave, Looks like you taught them all well. Some day I would like to make the trip and play for a few days. See you in San Antonio
