Hi everyone!

Here is a new bowie I just made recently. It was a custom order from a fellow who is on the forums so I'll let him chime in here if he likes. I will say that my customer was great to work with on this knife and he had very good input on the design.

The 7 1/2 inch W-2 blade has been clay hardened to produce a Hamon. The bottleneck handle is built in a frame construction with scales of premium Desert Ironwood and it also has cross hatching and two fine silver domed pins. The fittings are of Silicon Bronze with Fine .999 silver coined (75 lines per inch) liners. This is one of the more traditional bowies I've made.

I would like to thank my customer for giving me the opportunity to make him this knife and I would like to thank my brother Caleb for the great pic.

Let me know what you think and thanks for looking!

Here is the sheath I made for this knife. It features a removable belt loop.

Have a merry Christmas!!!

Thats a beautiful knife but Im particularly impressed with the sheath! I think the colors and theme works great on this bowie. I'm not sure I see many frame handles with wood scales. I'd say it came out great on this one.

Kyle,

This one's a stunner all the way, knife, handle, details, and sheath. Traditional suites you!

Merry Christmas to you and family.

A pleasing, well balanced design, and a tight
execution.......nailed.

The more I see on this site the more I admire the artistry displayed , wonderful craftmanship by so many on this site, thanks for the pics!

That's got to be one of my favourites from you. The blade profile and the crispness of the lines is exquisite. The guard is subtle yet again so very precise and matches with the wood so wonderfully. Not 100% convinced on the cross hatching as I think it's kinda overpowering but I do like that there is some handle treatment.
Really nice work.

Beautiful Bowie and Sheath Kyle.
A lot going on with the bowie, however I feel it all significantly contributes to the overall.

Caleb has become a very talented knife photographer.
Does he just shot your knives or is he taking on other knife photo projects?

glad to see the knife in the sheath as I was a bit bothered by the pins that did not match the guard but do match the sheath frog. another great looking knife but we expect this. Caleb is doing great images. always enjoy the knives you are creating Kyle.

I love that! the flashy hamon really looks great with the dark basic (but elegant) handle contrast.

Very lucky new owner.

Kyle, I hate you! :p For a couple reasons. One, for the fact that you've obviously got more talent in your little finger than a lot of us have total. But, the main reason is this. You've progressed so quickly, from "who the heck is this kid, doing work like this?" all the way to "damn, I wish I could afford something from this guy".

Love everything about this bowie, Kyle. Excellent work, my friend!

Make no mistake, the cross hatching is the main star of this piece. It is singing the lead. The supporting cast are all seasoned actors. :)

I want to see a close up of that guard, and the fine coin edges you've teased us with. When's he coming out for a cameo...?! ;)

Well displayed, as always.

Coop

Thanks for the good words everyone!

Danbo, I wish you didn't hate me.:(:D:) I'm glad you like my knives.

Coop, Here are a few close up pictures that I took of the knife before I put it all together.

Sorry about this pic. It's fuzzy however it should give you an idea of how the coining looks.

Here is a shot of all the components before I epoxied it all together.
