These are a couple W-2 integrals I finished up recently. Both are forged from Aldo's W-2 and finished with a 1200 grit finish and domed ns pins. The Amboyna handled knife is currently being fitted with Paul Long leather at the customers request. The Koa knife's tang got reshaped just a bit due to some weld that was left over from the handle being tacked on:barf:. I think it was a good save though. Hope you like em'.

Looks like you sent them through the autoclave they're so clean!

Mike I saw one of your integrals at the CKCA banquet and it was one of the reasons I came back from Blade in love with thin blades.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Ray, you bet all be at Boise. Looking forward to seeing your shining face and the ribbing I know I'm gonna receive. Hopefully there is still some smoked salmon left.:D

Scott, I'm glad you liked the CKCA integral. I am also of a fan of thin blades but have changed my grinding style a little since then. The thin tips are now getting a little more meat behind them. Instead of a full flat grind down to a "0" edge, I'm leaving the tips thicker and rolling in the edge down to almost sharp on the disc. They still cut like crazy but are more durable.

Beautiful work Mike. I especially like that last shot of the hamon and the oh so clean sweep from the bolster to the blade.

Mike, these are very sweet! I love your integrals! I wanted to put my name in for the on at the CKCA banquet but I had already spent too much money by that time. Great work!

Mike, Both very nice. As hunters are my favorite knives. I will miss you and Bruce sitting across from me a Boise this year. O-well I'll just have to think about both of you. ( While I'm Elk Hunting:D)

Keep them coming.
