Now that I got your attention, let me take this moment to inform you that Bladeforums Best Bowie 2016 contest is imminent!

Roger Pinnock will be posting the nomination thread on December 26, and nominations will be open just into the new year.

With this 'warning', we hope that you are able to prepare in advance so we can have the best Best Bowie thread ever!

Here are all the previous Best Bowie threads;

2015
2014
2013
2012
2011
2010
2009
2008
2007

To those of you who might be discovering Bladeforums Best Bowies for the first time, notice in each of the links posted above that the competition does have 'rules', which are right at the beginning of each thread. Just an fyi :)

This is the project's 10th Anniversary, so let's make this one to remember!

Just give it to CAS already :)

Love it

Best thread of the year

This will be the first year I don't have a contender.

I was on Japanese inspired blades this past year :)

Looking forward to the show

Arrrrggghh!! This is so hard every year. There are so many talented and supremely skilled knife makers out there. So much exceptional work is done each year. I don't look forward to making my choices but I can't wait to see all the entries. It's gonna be good.....AGAIN!

Get those submissions ready folks - I know there have been a LOT of worthy entries this year!

still can't quite believe it's been 10 years

it's the kids, makes the time accelerate. When you get older, the hobbies- which are timeless in some ways- seem to become a bit of a helpful anchor that help keep the time from interfering with enjoyment of life, imo

Wow to ten years. Where did it go??? I dunno if it is a slow year for bowies, or if I have just been totally out of the loop. Probably the ladder. I can't think of any of the top of my head. But if this was a dagger contest, Mike Q wins. lol. I'm still pulling for Don to win this one eventually.

I actually made a few bowies this year too!! Looking forward to it as always.

As always, we will be impressed and even surprised.

Roger: SO good to see you around!! :)
