W. Bingham XLCR axe

Interesting how the letters XLCR sound just like "Excelsior", both trademarks used by W. Bingham hardware out of Cleveland, OH.

Pretty sure these axes were made by American Axe and Tool and then Kelly.

Came with a pile of tools from a local estate sale this weekend, including a Kelly Perfect and an uncommon True Temper Rocket ball-peen in nice shape;

Nice score, I hope that hatchet turns out to be a good one and maybe there only patina under the paint .
