Every now and again a charmer of a knife arrives to be fitted up with leather,
there are those that I talk the person out of getting a sheath,
as some knives are not suited for my style sheaths.
This one is quite the looker, made by W.D. Pease, a while back
I think as the engraver has a 1989 date on it, so it's at least that age,
but no telling when the knife itself was made, except for Mr Pease code
on the back side of the blade is marked W9M3, his personal code for
dating his blades.

Here are a few quick shots taken at my work table today,
Closed length is 4 1/2" with a blade measuring 3 1/2" long.

My friend Win Heger thinks the engraver was L. Sanchez and he thought he has also passed away...

Nice folder, very well made, as you would expect from Mr Pease!

Please post back with the finished leather work

I love your leather work

Wow. Beautiful. As are all of WD Pease's knives.

Kind regards,

Jos

Beautiful tones in the stag antler. very nice knife  Sooo... You gonna make this fella a sheath? :)

Thanks guys, well, I sent him an email, what I'm worried is
the anodizing on the engraving, my sheaths are quite form
fitting, just my style that I make, so I'm waiting to hear back
from him today on this one, he also sent in a VERY sweet
Jerry Halfrich ivory handled Rounder lockback, now that one
will work great in a sheath and just love that knife too,
you can see my problem eh? :)
I'll post up some photos of the Jerry Halfrich in another thread later on.
Thanks,
G2

Thanks, While the sheath is a plain smooth front, there is an embossing of
what I call the North Star along the spine side. By his request, he prefers
his sheaths to be smooth and uncluttered.

Afterwards in this case, you'd probably not want something to compete with
that really nice engraving anyways!

Oops, forgot the full open shot of the knife;

Thanks guys and JP, I'd love to have a place left setup so I could take photos
a little easier and arrange things nicer, some day, with a new house and a room
for myself for photography and sheath work, I can dream ;)

The handle has a Stan Fujisaka style to it also. It's stunning.

Have you identified the engraver? I can't recall, but I'm sure I'd recognize the name if mentioned.

Coop, best guess was by Win Heger, he thinks it was L. Sanchez
and he thought he has also passed away...
