I'm starting the 'Chucker' What you gonna work on? I'm trying my best to get stuff finished up for my first show at the end of the month. It's just a local gun and knife show but I'm still a little panicy about getting things done.

I'll be making charcoal and drinking beer this weekend. Looks like this will be the nicest weekend for a long winter, and I want to take advantage of it.

hopefully i ll get to finish my next recurve hunter with brass bilsters and all. probably tho ill get alot of my honey do list done.

Girlfriends coming for a visit. Don't think I'm gonna waste time working on knives. ;)

"girlfriends?"

As in plural? :D

Duck season starts tomorrow in my zone, it also happens to be my girlfriends and my 3-year anniversary.

Other than that, I got tons o' stuff to do in the shop -- work on a forge, finish some sheaths, blades, handles, etc. etc. . . .. :grumpy: :D

Perhaps some shooting tonight... great stress relief, then I will attempt to finish up my Talonite 'thumb knife'. I got the Talonite 1"x2"x3/16" for free, and am doing remarkably well considering all I have used is a cinder block, a couple of C-clamps, vice grips, and a dremal.

I dont know if I will put handel slabs on it or grind a texture onto it.

P.S. This is my first knife, I do alot of work with old 'broken' blades that I get at gerage sales and flea markets but I have never done anything from scratch. We will see how goes it.;)

hahaha, yeah there was supposed to be an apostrophe there. Luckily she doesn't read thsi board or I could be in trouble. I would have lots of time to work on knives then. :)

Takin my son deer huntin in the morning...rest of the weekend will be spent workin on those knives that are due by christmas.

Taking grandson, Carter to the local Gem & Mineral show in the morning and then we're going to hunt arrowheads all afternoon on an old farm on the Etowah River. Only way I can get permission is to take him with me. Darn the luck, he's closer to the ground, got better eyes and is faster than weasel. Weather is perfect for this stuff.

My weekend project was to roast a pig for a friends retirement party. This was my first time doing that...now I know why the pig roaster usually does not make it to eating time!

JC,
Gem show was great, he didn't want to leave. We got to the river kinda late but found two before Momma called wanting her boy home. Carter said to leave the cell in the truck next time. Smart kid!
