Hello friends of the blade forum, today I'm starting a new creation, I'd like you to join me on this long journey.
This is an initial sketch, I can change the proportions of the handle, but I'll decide soon.

It will be a bowie in 52100 steel, everything else in stainless steel, the handle will be in African Blackwood handle.

I hope you all like it, see you soon.

Looking forward to this one!
I'm curious, how close do you find your knives come out to the original 3d models? Are they an absolute reference or more of a way to envision the knife before it's finished?

Design precision is essential to my creations. I use 3D to accurately define measurements and proportions.
However, the tactile experience during the modeling of the handle leads me to make subtle adjustments.
This combination of technique and intuition ensures that each knife is unique, with ergonomics and beauty in perfect harmony.

Answering your question, I think both options are valid :)

That's really cool!
Getting more precise is something I'm trying to improve on with my knives, and your work is definitely an inspiration.

Hello friends.
I have some updates to share. I apologize for the delay in sharing, I'm working on this project and another hunting knife at the same time.
I'll be sure to share more details and progress with you as soon as possible. I hope you enjoy what's to come!

After forging, I start aligning all the pieces.
