"W" Pattern Damascus Integral Bird and Trout

Hi all,

Just got this one back from Sandy Morrissey. He did a fine job dressing this one.

I did a WIP on this one and here is a link if you missed it,

This blade was forged from a very compressed "W" pattern. I started by making a 208 layer billet of O1 and 8670M I then turned it 90 degrees and cut and stacked it to 2048 layers. Scales are Sambar Stag from Chuck Bybee at Alpha Knife supply with peened stainless steel pins.

Blade is 3 9/16" to the plunge cut, the blade width is 15/16", the blade at the bolster is 1/8 thick and has a lot of distal taper, Overall length is 8 1/4".

Took a few quick pictures, will take a few more over the next few days and will add a few here maybe tomorrow.
