Hi Guys

This is only the second time I have made one of these. This one is a little fancier than the first, I really enjoying making this style of knife and I'm going to produce these on a more regular basis.
The blade and external back spring of this friction folder are forged from 5160 spring steel. The blade length is 100mm and 3mm thick at the spine. The handle is Sambar stag antler, open length is 240mm and closed is 140mm. The steel saddle has planished sides, a plum brown finish and is topped off with a brass rose.
The brass butt cap is fitted to the antler tine by a central gun blued steel screw and has 4 x 1.6mm gun blued steel pins set around it's circumference.

I hope you like it, thanks for taking the time to look gents. All comments welcome.

Kind regards

Steve

That is awesome!
I like all the little "refined primitive" details.

Thanks gents.
Your comments are very much appreciated. It makes all of the work very worthwhile. The customer has seen the pictures of his knife, but I can't get it to him until mid May. You know what they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Thanks again

Steve

Great lines, great blacksmithing, great stag. I like it. The (attachment?) ring is an intriguing and practical addition.

nice, slim blade. that is definitely correct for the style. I really enjoy the look of the backspring. great patina/texture. that is a rockin' design. well done!

Hi guys

I really do appreciate your comments, there are some superb makers who post on this forum and it is a pleasure and an honour to get this type of feed back on a blade that I have made.

Kind regards

Steve
