Hi Gents
This is basically the same knife as the original Nomad, but with a different handle design. The blade is forged from EN43 and satin polished. Blade length is 115mm, overall length is 250mm and just under 6mm thick at the spine.
The full tang handle has been tapered, the handle scales are made from stabilised giraffe bone with blue liners. The handle scales are dove tailed to match the brass bolsters.
I made the mosaic pins using 6mm diameter brass tube. Then filling it with 1.6mm S/S Tig wire and 1.6mm silver solder wire to make the centre pattern. Taping one end closed and filling with super glue, leave for 24hrs to harden and then cut the pins to size.
The sheath is leather lined and wrapped in rawhide, embellished with a buckskin fringe, horse hair filled brass cones, aged brass tacks and trade beads.
Thanks for taking the time to look, all comments are very welcome.
All the best
Steve
