Greetings everyone,

I finally have something new to post. It's a W.W. Cronk Upswept (Skinner?) knife that just arrived today. The knife blade is approximately 4.75 inches long, and the overall length is about 9.25 inches. The guard is brass, and the handle appears to me to be made from Maroon Micarta. The knife is heavier than I expected, with most of the weight in the handle. It came with a leather sheath into which it fits, but I am assuming it is not original. (Oddly, the name "Debbie" is lightly scratched into the sheath.)

For anyone who doesn't know, Mr. Cronk made knives from 1963 until his death in 1983. The Knifemaker's Guild gives out (or perhaps used to) a W.W. Cronk award for Best of Show.

Sorry about the lousy photos (and thumb print on the blade), but I'm behind the times with my camera and editing software. 🫤

he's truly one of the greats, in my opinion. From a design perspective, he is in pretty much a singular position- again my opinion.

this knife is a rare thing and I'm enjoying the opportunity to check it out with some nice, thorough pictures. Thanks!

Thank You for sharing....I will be searching more for his work. Wow.
That knife has tons of Style that is missing from So much modern work today!
