W1 Steel?

Could anyone share their impressions of W1 steel as far as durability, edge holding and ease of sharpening? TIA.

W1 is a fantastic high carbon tool steel, but W2 is a bit better. Can be heat treated to a
high Rc hardness and still be tough and easy to sharpen. Great edge holding also.
W2 will hold an edge longer and is a little tougher but is also fairly easy to sharpen.

W1 is a very basic high carbon steel and I like it a lot. Don covered an comment I would have about the toughness, durability, etc.
