Here's #4 for Atlanta...W2, Ironwood, and nickel silver spacers. Comments and critiques welcome.

I am a sucker for a gorgeous knife like that. Love everything about it although I would love an active hamon even more.
Nice sheath too.
Beautiful work!

Thanks for the complement. I'm not risking a developed hamon on the journeyman test though...clean, clean, clean. I did a similar piece last fall with hamon, I like 'em too...just skiddish for the test.

I think you made the right decision by not bring out the hamon for the test. I also think this is the nicest knife you have build yet. Everything about it looks perfect. Awsome work!!

Good call - and that knife certainly looks very clean indeed. Very nice lines - looks like a fast blade.

Ben, that is a mighty fine looking knife mate. The leather is fantastic also. Really nice selection of materials. Good luck with your test. With work like that, the JS stamp is a given imo.
Cheers Keith

Fantastic knife and sheath. Love the detail with the nickel/silver spacers also fantastic piece of Ironwood. Would make a great addition to any collection and I'm sure you will pass your JS test Ben. Great work.

Yes, the definition of CLEAN. Particularly nice selection for a 'test knife'.
Your knives are going to be a tough act to follow for others.:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks y'all. Hoping to have a group shot of the 5 next week. Kevin, it's a risk doing a knife of this level for the test...could getcha hammered! I had Mike Williams, Fisk, and Cook inspect the filework, so I'm hoping for the best. Ben

Great knife Ben. Very clean and great lines. Sheath is a real compliment to it as well. Well done. Good luck in Atlanta.

Hey, Ben. I like it! Well done, very-very clean. Chuck's image shows off a talented father/son team. Can't wait to see # 5.

It's only a Risk if it's not Good! ;) :)

Very nice Ben! Clean and elegant and sure to please the judges. Looking forward to seeing more of you knives.
