W2 Bowie

Just got this one finished up. The blade is forged W2, with a pretty cool hamon; 9” long, 1 ¾” wide, and ¼” thick. The handle is stacked leather (a first for me) and Ringed Gidgee, subtly contoured. The guard is bronze, and the pin in brass. OAL is 14 1/8”, and the weight is 384g.

I love the hybrid polish (I assume that is what it is.) so much more dynamic than just a ferric chloride etch.
