I built this knife for and sold it at the Canadian Knifemaker Guild show. At the show, Murray White graciously offered to photograph some knives for the guild members. I think he did a wonderful job of capturing this knife. Thank you Murray!!

The blade is 12" of forged W2, that was clay quenched and polished to bring out the Hamon. The bow is made from O1 and the final nut is mild steel. Both were treated with a Plum Brown gun barrel finish. The line cut spacer, rear spacer, and end cap are all from 416 stainless steel. The handle material is a very nicely colored piece of Desert Ironwood.

The sash sheath has a pig skin chevrons and rolled liner. The main body is 8 oz. hand tooled, basket stamped and dyed veg. tanned leather.

Comments good or bad are welcomed!

Enjoy,

James

James I like it, It is a fine looking D guard and Murray did a good Job shooting it.

Loved the look and balance on this, I'm sure whoever snatched it up will enjoy it immensely !

I like it very much. Strong, simple, elegant. Love the guard and the blade looks great.

i can't really fault the knife. the only faults I see here are: 1) it is not mine. 2) probably out of my price point

other than that, I'd be honored to own such a blade and show it off to my friends.

Heck, James, not only have I missed him at the show but he has not shown up on my doorstep for sometime and that I miss too. Hopefully soon.
