I was thinking about the description I was going to put here and it dawned on me that the knife has three major components - the blade, the guard and the handle material.
2 of the 3 I got from DH III!
The blade with a hamon is W2 from Don.
Don and I exchanged some "intellectual property" and I ended up with some Missouri Walnut.
The guard is stainless steel.
All done up in a take-down assembly.
The fellow this is going to already has 2 hunters that are a bit more delicate, and he wanted something with some more meat on the bone.
The close-up of the hamon is just 'cuz. :D

Karl, you know I am a big fan of your hunters. When you use W2 and Missouri Walnut, I really, really like them! :D A little more meat on the bone doesn't hurt anything, either.

Nice!!

Very nice one Karl. I like the utility of it, and it looks like it could handle anything you can throw at it.

Very nice all the way around. I really like that piece of wood. I pretty much like everything I've seen of yours.

You have also inspired me to make my first take down. It may be above my skill level, but I have one in the works now anyway.

Great Work!
