OK, I love this knife. I mean I like all the knives I have made, but I love this one. I would keep it, stored away in some case if I could, but just today, some trucker took out the rear end of my wife's car and I need to try to replace it. So it went to a customer. I can always make another like it someday...I hope.

Here it is. W2 hand forged (that was a job, time to get a press) with Ironwood burl I got from Pop's at the Ohio knife show. It also has a sheath that sports some stingray leather also picked up at the show.

Let me know what you think. It is in the box already, and when I send it out tomorrow, I might shed a tear...Kidding of course.

That is stunning Mr. Bailey, both knife and sheath! I'm always a sucker for Ironwood burl, and I think everything just goes together beautifully.

I would think you could spend the rest of your life making that same knife and never have a problem selling it....

Beautiful, Matt. That knife turned out great. Awesome character in that ironwood burl. I LOVE the stuff. And the sheath is just...well, it's just wonderful. Great job all around! I just can't tell you how good that package looks. I'm really looking forward to forging out some of the W2 I got from Don (if I ever get my forge from Darren). Great looking hamon.

the way you put everything together makes the knife appealing.

the hair on my left arm cowers in fear everytime i open a box from new york.
thanks again
keep up the great work

Awesome knife!! I have not had any expierence with filework on tangs. What is used to fill in the filework to the handle material, is it just the epoxy or something else? I looks great!
