I've been trying to get some orders filled lately and thought I'd better start on some knives for Blade thrown in the mix.

I saw Roger's thread on the Andrews fighter and thought I'd post this one. Integral guard W2 w/ mortised stab. koa handle.

It's kind of along the lines of some hunters I've been doing lately.

SWEET! I've been waiting to see you do something larger than a hunter with an integral guard. We may have to do another matched set.

Pure awesome. How nasty is it getting into the guard area for sanding and finishing? I'm guessing with that radius it's not too bad...

I should learn how to do it this way. I despise fitting guards!!!!!!

Matt, I do as much as possible on the grinder so the top/sides are pretty tolerable. The underside requires a little elbow grease.

Greg, how's the turkey season looking out your way?

So, if you don't mind my asking, did you forge the blade down from larger stock and not touch the guard area, or did you forge weld the guard to the blade after it was forged?
