Here's a short Bowie taking the trip to Atlanta.
Forged blade from some W2 I picked up from DH III in Chicago last year. You'll have to take my word for it that I got a really nice Hamon on this. I'm Hamon Handicapped photographically. Don't ask.
Stainless fittings and a nice piece of faceted African Blackwood round out the take-down assembly.
Overall length of 12 3/4" with a 7 3/4" blade.
Thanks for letting me share.

Don's W2 really gets around.
Another striking example of your take-downs,Karl.
Like it and really like the handle.

Karl, we're gonna make a knifemaker outta you yet! ;) :p

In all seriousness, Karl; I think that might be my favorite of all your knives yet.:)

That's a great looking knife. I love that blade and the faceted Blackwood really sets it off!

I'm really groovin' on this one. Love the faceted handle and the overall clean, crisp look. Well done!

Ditto. Karl, I mean this in the most complimentary way. This bowie looks very Cashen-ish.

I have been clamoring for facetted, 8 sided handles for years. I'm glad to see the idea gaining acceptance.

Looking good!

I'm with Danbo. In the end, taste is all personal, but I like that knife a lot better than your earlier, less-well-defined ones:)

Best,

John
