Just finished this one ( its 1 of my 5 for judging this year for my JS )
SPECS W2 with hamon, There is a lot of activity going on here, just cant capture it with my limited skills.
BL 10", 252mm. OAL 16 1/4",415mm.
Thickness at Ricasso .2365, 6mm
416 guard with fibre spacers, domed pin. Figured Gidgee handle.
Just have to make some pants for it and a sharpen.
Thanks for looking and your comments are most welcome.
Cheers Keith

Good luck, Keith. I'll be sure to get over to the judging.

Nice one Keith. Looking good. Definitely going to have to give that one a closer look in Atlanta.

It's always cool to see the clay layout and then the finished hamon. Yours followed the clay pretty darned close. In any case, an exceptional knife!

Very clean and well executed. Handle looks nice from both visual and ergonomical perspectives.
I'm not a fan of the curved blade spine, but that's just a personal opinion.:thumbup:

Excellent! I'd love to see that hamon in person, I bet there's cool stuff in there. Nice blade shape!

That's a seriously nice knife Keith!! I love the hamon that you've got going on there brother, VERY well done! That blade profile is almost Kukri-like. LOST of chopping power in that design. To borrow a phrase from my buddy Joe P, I bet that sucker hits like a razor sharp lead pipe! Can't wait to see it in Atlanta, and good luck on the test!

While it is well finished and shaped, that curve would keep me from even looking at it for any length of time....not a fan.

I am a fan of the curved spine or drop point Bowie and thoroughly enjoy seeing this one.
Great work, Keith !
Really like what you've done with the handle, sweet piece of Gidgee, domed pin and the guard looks just right.
Outta' sight hamon action and I'll bet it's a monster cutter/chopper.
All the best in Atlanta, love the designs and execution of all your work I've had the pleasure of viewing.
Thanks for showing !

Doug

I love it!

Like the bit of clay at the tip!

If 2 thru 5 are as good you will have a new title soon.

Looking ready..in more ways than one.

A really interesting, aggressive curve, and what looks like a lot of controlled hamon activity.

See you in Atlanta,

John

Really, really nice.

The blade is obviously impressive. I like the handle too; well shaped, finished, and practical.

Good luck on the JS.

Hey guys thanks very much for your comments and best wishes for the test. I really appreciate it.
Cheers Keith
