Standard Bowie, forged from W2 round bar, the blade measures 9 x 1-3/4 wide x 5/16 thick. Convex edge, sharp clip, double quinch and triple temper heat treat. Differntially hardened using clay, with very active and visible hamon. Overall length is 14, with a Black Walnut handle that I made to be concealable, tried to make the handle as trim as possible and yet still appropriately support the 9 blade, wanted a Bowie that packs alot of punch but that can be carried without great effort for extended periods of time.
Ive cut with it a bit around the shop, and the goal of having that compact yet big cutting Bowie was met in this one with ease.
