WA knife laws???

I know that the RCW does not even mention fixed bladed knives except out of context.
I have spoken to two L.E.O.s in my area and they both told me the same thing....that they go by the RCW, however, Seattle and some counties have local restrictions against carrying fixed bladed knives. So, depending on which county you are in the laws could be quite different.

FWIW,

Also, be aware that some cities (Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, etc...) here in WA have restrictions on folder blade-length. I'm lucky in that the area I live in has no such (paranoid) restrictions.:).

When I had road restriction duty for a couple of years, I had to ride shotgun with the county deputies. I pulled my CQC-7 out to perform some chore when I did the "wrist snap" opening in front of him.

Let's just say he damn near crapped his pants! He said that was illegal (not joking) because it was a gravity knife because I opened it that way.

My reply: "Bite me."

:jerkit:
