There been anything else on seeing a competition blade?? I know I have posted this before but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask again. Gotta love naked INFI!!!

all of Jerry's blades are competition blades, what you need to do is find knife/knives that can compete with them ;)

I think all we've seen for now was the hell razors in one of the last ganzas. They had the 'competition' grade finish with either red or orange G10 handles.

After what Noss did to the BM in his vids then I don't think there's a need for competition blades from Jerry. I think the competition could possibly be dead or hiding in a cave somewhere wandering what the hell they're going to do to try and compete.

What are the specs for a competition blade? (Like the cutting competition at Blade) I was wondering if a modified FBM could be used. I've been trying to find the specs, but so far no go. I think I remember something about the blades having to be forged, which would count INFI out.

It would be nice to see some INFI in action this year!

Edit: I found these specs online:

Blade size can be a maximum of 10 inches in length, and a maximum of 2" in width. Overall length shall not exceed 15-1/2". The blade will be measured from the guard or handle centerline to the tip of the blade. Maximum handle length 5-1/2". A real handle is required. No tape, rubber hose etc. will be allowed. Nothing fancy here necessary, could be cheap ugly wood; but it must be securely affixed, and preferably have at least one pin through the tang. A secure thong hole through the handle will be required, with a wrist thong, of at least parachute cord. No leather thongs. Include a spring toggle, or other thong keeper, to keep it attached to your wrist.

Here's where I found them:

I have no idea if these are standard guidelines for cutting competitions in general, or just for that one. It sounds like what I remember for the Blade Competition, though. No mention of "forged only" being a requirement.

Here's a link to an article in Blade:

BladeSports International (the folks putting on the cut comps at Blade shows) requires that knives used in their events be made by sponsoring companies or individual members. So you can't use a Busse in their event unless Jerry sponsors BSI.

Jerry could enter with his knife, couldn't he? By the time he gets the other contestants knee walking on JWB he could make a clean sweep with a Cultiluss!

I've been hoping to see some offerings like that - especially if they showed up at prices that couldn't be resisted.

Having them as users immediately comes to mind - but i think they could make some wicked looking customs with the right blade shape and handle material.
