Recommendation? Wait for Mora Garberg Dala Red (S) or buy something else now?

I really like the looks of the Mora Garberg Dala Red in stainless and I think it's about the right size and build for a basic all-around bushcraft/camping knife I've been wanting. But it doesn't seem available yet or maybe is just sold out? So I'm wondering if I should simply wait until it becomes available or maybe spring for something of equivalent value/utility that you guys can recommend? I'm hoping to stay around the $80-ish pricepoint of the Garberg if not lower.

I have a bunch of bigger knives (BK-22, SRK-5, etc) where I buy too much knife and don't end up carrying them. The Garberg seems a nice size to put in my backpack.

This is my sharpener (Work Sharp Guided System). Is this OK for Scandi grind of the Garberg?

Garberg is a great choice.
But if you are looking for other options, Victorinox has new offerings in 14C28 in the same price range.

Both the Garberg and the Victorinox were designed with input from noted bushcrafters. Roughly the same size. The Garberg is scandi ground. The Victorinox is flat ground.

By some reports on YT the Victorinox seems to have quality/usability issues. Best to do some research before buying one.

Victorinox made a slicing tool, but got put into heavy duty jobs by many users. It is a case of misuse rather than quality issue. The sheath rattle though, I can agree that it is a cons.

Joker Avispa is a little smaller, but it fits the criteria well with the same 14C28N steel.
