Waiting for a sog revolver, what should I expect.

I have one and I carry it hunting. It is certainly a knife you won't be afraid to use. I think the knife makes an excellent hiking knife or general woods knife. I bought mine after reading the same review and have not been let down. In fact, it's setting in front of me on my desk as I type this. Hope you enjoy your new knife!

man that is exactly what i have been looking for, thanks for the link.

Hi,

I recently got the hunter model as well, because I didn't want any serations. I like it, but it is not well suited for batoning. I tried it several times and it gets hung up in anything wrist thick or above. My BK7 makes short work of those. All in all I like it, but my 8 year old is making noises that he wants it as his 12th birthday present. (the kids get thier 1st SAK classic at 6, SAK huntsman or multitool at 10 and fixed blade at 12. I know I am an evil father. My daughter turns 12 next month and has her eyes on a Ka-bar skinner my dad gave me as a boy...)

The saw works great and the knife takes a great edge. It is light enough to get tossed in the pack if I ever want a switch from my gerber folding saw which will out cut it.

Thats why I liked it so much, I use an axe most of the time anyways, and this will give me even more backup. I have to say though it has a very attractive blade :D

I love mine. It's great. I defy anyone to handle one and not want to be out in the woods using it.

Great design and wickedly sharp. If I had to get rid of all my knives but one tomorrow, I'd keep my revolver.

Very nice knife, lighter than it looks, comfortable handle, knife blade and saw cut well; I only wish that SOG had put the guthook on the back of the saw blade instead of the knife. I also think that the big Revolver logo on the sheath looks a bit tacky; otherwise, no complaints. I think you will be happy with your Revolver!

heh, yeah, I noticed the same thing about the sheath. I do like it, and if it grows on me i'll be fine, but if it doesn't a custom mabye be in order :D

well, sense I have only, and probably only will, due to canadian customs, I bought it from knifezone for just over $100
