Waiting for Busse knock offs

i'm too impatiant as well...love them, but the wait is a pain, i start to lose interest after awhile  (no offense)

EDIT: link removed, didn't mean to cause static.

Scrapyard is ready to issue it's "Bowie." Basically the same size as the BM, but Res-C handle and SR77 steel. I think this is exactly the type of blade SR77 is made for. It's bigger than a Basic-9, but will feel the same. I'm optimistic about it.

Swamp Rat is "supposedly" releasing more Howling Rat LMs this month. These are in the new line and sport some pretty cool looking micarta scales instead of Resiprene C. They just made sheaths for this model available from the Co. Store, so my guess is the blades aren't far behind. See pic. MSRP is $128.95. I like it:D .

If you have lost your interest, why are you posting here, especially if there is no Busse knife content? If we were interested in Fehrman knives, we would be hanging out at that forum, oh wait, there isn't enough interest to have a Fehrman forum!

ROTFLMFAO :D

Fehrman Extreme Judgement--As a check on edge durability it was also lightly chopped into a concrete block. Just wrist pops which induced cuts a fraction of a centimeter into the block, the edge fractured readily.

So when you are bored you enjoy readliy fracturing your Fehrman knives? ;)

even if he was wrong in posting that, let's not put down any other knives or knifemakers unless it is warranted and then in the g b & u....
it's the Busse way!

I'm going to be a fuddy-duddy and concur with Dan (Hi, Buddy!). Trashing another maker is not something that is condoned within this specific forum.

the poster edited his original post...he was asking about knockoffs and should he buy a knife that is available as opposed to waiting. i considered fehrman an available-to-purchase-knockoff...nothing more. jeezus, take the plug out sister and quite being so sensitive :D

Hey y'all, that's a qoute from the link on testing from tlmzdac. I picked the tamest one! Here's the one I left out...qoute:
The Extreme Judgement was initially sharp but the edge roughly finished which lead to poor edge retention and durability in wood working due to fractures. The edge chipping continued after a light sharpening and was readily evident with just light impacts on concrete. The edge also ripplied on harder batoning. The grip was above average in some respects but had ergonomic issues in others. The sheath also had problems in wearing the coating and abrading the edge.

In regards to the edge denting, other knives such as the Heafner bowie in D2 have seen far greater edge strength in the same work splitting large knotty rounds. The Extreme Judgement was returned with either a request for a refund or replacement if this behavior was not to be expected, especially in regards to edge chipping. A refund was given on a credit card with no communication from the maker

Not trying to slam anyone, sorry if any took offense.... :)

pittsteele, it is not a sensitivity issue, it is a knowledge of historical facts and happenings that arose from statements that either were inflammatory or could easily have been construed as inflammatory by readers.

The original post, as well as yours, fit those criteria, thus the questioning of intent intent, meaning and direction of those posts occured.

I hope you own, or have owned, Busse knives, and will continue to use the blades and products Busse offers.

Nuke on.....

The "knockoffs" he was referring to were Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard, not true knock offs per see. He wasnt referring to other brands and was keeping with the Busse family. You are referring to a true knockoff, so yea its rude.
