Waiting For Lower Prices To Book Airfare for BLADE??? NOW Might Be A Good Time...!

I've been sweating it out in hopes of a break or a sale too... $365 is almost twice what I paid to fly to BLADE last year...
BUT, I just checked, and Holy OINKin' Yowza!!! I'm now booked & locked in at $230, fees included!!! The price dropped sometime today after 5am, which is when I checked last.

If you've been hoping for an airfare price drop, now seems to be the time. ;)

Might be if it keeps going up.I can get there and back on a little over a tank.

ETA: Actually, my flight is $229.60...just checked a few other sites, all seemed to get the same flight between $229-$230 for Delta. $5 higher for USAirways.

Yeah. It would be a 232 mile round trip drive. Not sure if it would be worth it. Going to keep doing some number crunching and see what turns out. Still up in the air on the trip, but will know as time progresses. Will keep checking other airports and options :)
 
yeah...I hear ya. Sorry man. Maybe they'll rotate some of these airfare deals around. I've been checking several times a day every day for over a month and this has been the most significant rate change up or down in that time, so keep an eye out. I hope that you can make it.
 
I hope to make it too. If/when I snag a plane ticket, I'll then have to find a roommate at the Busse hotel. :D
 
The Busse Booth has two rooms now... ;) Mebbe Jerry will let you stay in one? :D:D
 
Heck, I'm wondering if the hotel will allow 3 to a room and I can piggy back and sleep on a floor. Anything to save a buck. I already have Geico insurance, so saving 15% is out the window :D
 
Well, my buddy suggested to check out Columbus, OH and the rates were around the same as yours. I'm thinking my truck will make it so it's looking really good at this point. Just can't hold off too long and miss out on the deal :D It would be a 3-hr drive.
 
Thanks Garth. It's been 5 years! What day is everyone coming in? I can either pay $302 for a Thurs-Mon flight plan or $232 for a Weds-Mon flight. I don't mind spending an extra day down there, just trying to figure out the hotel situation (Already emailed and received a reply from Pokey about it... Thanks Pokey!) in regards to cost and roommate. Pardon my thinking out loud here. Getting excited and don't want to pull the trigger on a minor headache. Only draw back to the Columbus route is that my flight leaves around 6am which means I'd have to leave early that morning for the drive as well as getting from the airport. And a friendly tip, I checked Travelocity on my phone and computer and my phone is showing a cheaper rate. Will book through there.
 
Well crap... I pulled the trigger and now have a plane ticket. Paid $423.60 but after some number crunching, I'm only paying around $40 more for the convenience of not driving 3hrs (Calculated the gas, etc). I could've drove the 3hrs and gotten a 1-stop flight, but rather just deal with being close to home and getting home quickly after the trip. Now I need to find a roommate at the hotel. Any takers? :D

Haha. Yeah, it would be awkward for me as well :D My last roommate was fun. Famous line used by him was "I'm a hortacologist and watch this". Gotta see if I have the pics somewhere
