monday i ordered a Victorinox Farmer and its supposed to be here today. throughout the years my SAKs have always had the traditional red scales, so this will be my first with the alloys (correct term?) ....i'll get a pic or two up when i get it, i just had to put this up out of pure excitement.:D i love getting a new knife:thumbup:

I have two farmers. One is the plain silver color that I use and I have a Blue anodized one that I am afraid to take out of its packaging because the blue looks just beautiful and I am not ready to have it marred. It is a great little knife with the most used(at least by me) blades in the SAK inventory all in one package. The knife blade looks a little beefier than the standard blade on the red celidor models.

Excellent knives. Alox is the correct term.

it showed up about an hour ago, and i am very happy with it. i have a friend who is a jeweler, so im going to have to get my initials engraved on it. very cool

Great choice! The more I carry/use my Alox models, the more I appreciate them. Here's a pic to help whet your appetite in anticipation of having yours engraved.;)

Ain't it the truth, JAB! Plus you can buy 2, or 3, or 4 of them for what it would cost you for one other good slip joint knife!

thanks, was that a factory/distributor option, or did you find an engraver to do it? they did a nice job

The ALOX knives are by far my favorite also. I have a bunch of them and they are far superior to the regular 91mm cellidor SAKs by a long shot.

Thanks! - I did it myself (I have access to an engraving machine at work).
