Hey guys just wanted to share with all of ya that I just recieved my first ESEE knife in the mail about an hour ago. I chose a RC 4 with the orange g10 and OD green blade. Honestly I couldn't be happier with this purchase, it is a lot of fine knife for the money and the attention to detail is pretty awesome. I was very surprised and happy to see that the kydex sheath came with adjustable/replaceable fasteners as I am always paranoid that my kydex sheaths will wear out and lose their retention. I was very impressed to see that it has two different retention settings AND a spare fastener attached to the sheath so if you ever need it its right there waiting. VERY COOL! I picked up the optional MOLLE attachment because I like my fixed blades to ride a bit lower than with the regular attachment. And speaking of the extra MOLLE attachment, good god that thing is loaded with options, I can really see all the experience and blood, sweat, and tears that were put into the making of this knife.

I was so excited to get this knife that I walked out to the mailbox twice this morning hoping it would be waiting for me, and I live out in the boonies and have a LOOONNG driveway! The only other knife I've made multiple trips to check on was a Sebenza.

I can't wait to go use this thing and believe me I will, I love putting a well made knife to some good use. I just got all geared up and ready for some woods bumming when it started pouring down in sheets so I figured I'd kill a few minutes while it slows down. I'm all set to go with my RC 4 on my belt, my BM mini Bone Collector in my right pocket, my magnesium/flint block and case sod buster jr.(striker) in my left pocket and my back pocket full of freshly harvested and currently drying fatwood.

Just wanted to say great job on the knife SYSTEM, and you have another customer that will spread your good name to my buddies and customers (I sell guns and knives 5 days a week).

it's been kinda crappy the last three days here too... good excuse to hit the books and re-sharpen my knives from the last trip... the tram needs some work :D

Nice choice NM, I got that same knife in the mail last week. I love it but it lost some shine after I got my H.E.S.T 2 days later. Still love it though, very stout for a 4". Have fun playing with all the ways to mount it.

Well I just got back from bumming around the woods and I must say that I really like this thing. It feels very good in my hand and I can make much more intricate controlled cuts than I thought would be possible by looking at pictures of it. So far the only thing I MIGHT change about this knife is possibly putting some texture on the g10 handle. I may just take my files to it and make a little bit of wide checkering like that on the Fehrmans.

Oh and today I was pretty proud to have lit my first completely natural fire (minus the firesteel) in the pouring down rain. I didn't use any PB cotton balls this time just fatwood that I found inside of a rotting stump and batoned to get down into the dry center. The knife worked awesome for everything I did today, even using the rounded pommel to crush my Top Ramen noodles into small chunks without breaking the thin plastic packaging!:D
