Hi gang, this is my first post to this forum. thanks for all the very useful faqs and posts.

on the basis of what I have read here, and without ever having seen in person or held a sebenza, i got my partner to order me a large regular sebenza for my 35th birthday.

In late May when we placed the order, we were told that the wait would be 4-6 weeks. four weeks later, the wait has apparently shrunk to 4-6 weeks. i feel like I have been living in sebenza purgatory forever!!! At least it isn't as bad as the waiting time for Busse's!!!

needless to say, I am chomping at the bit for my knife to be born, and winging its way around the world to me!!

best regards from New Zealand

Hello Chomo.

There are some very helpful and generous people here. The atmosphere is very open and friendly, and I am still in awe of some members here :D I had to ask for some photographs and help earlier and got nothing but superb assistance

On the subject of the Sebenza.....the torment of the wait will be equalled or, I suspect, surpassed by your enjoyment of the knife when she arrives.

Welcome, sir

Mark :)

I feel your pain. I'm waiting on the man (or woman) in the brown truck to bring me my latest Mnandi and I'm about to bust. ;)

When the little white box arrives, time will seem to stand still as you start to open it breathlessly.

I've got an as new small Sebenza unique graphic with a blue Agate stone inlay looking for a new home. If you're interested, I'd be happy to send some pics.

Purchased new from Anne Reeves at the 2003 Nordic Knives show, it is NIB and ready to go. I'm only selling it to help pay for my incoming KMG grinder.

Let me know if you're interested.

John, thanks for the offer... I would love to see a picture of your baby (and I am sure others in the forum would too). I will have to pass on the purchase... i think i would be shot if another sebenza made its way into the household - especially since my partner knows what they cost now! I might be able to sneak in a mnandi in a year or so though!! :D
