waiting is the hardest part

Hey guys,

Just a nothing post, to say that I hate waiting... my wife ordered a BK2 for me just before Christmas along with some work boots. Well the boots came and the invoice showed the the BK2 is backordered :grumpy:...

Oh well. It is not my first Becker (I have a BK11) but it is my first "Big" Becker. I was back and forward between the 2 and the ESEE-5, the posts here put me over to the edge :thumbup:.

You guys are great. I look forward to learning here...
 
I ordered a bk9 on the 27th and some dvds the 29th. The dvds came the 31st and the bk only yesterday and only cuz I tracked it down and made them hold it at the post office while I snuck away from work. Waiting sucks and I have to order, there is no availability in quebec cuz the packaging has to be french... fml
 
cancel the backorder and order from a vendor that is known to have them in stock and ships ASAP :)

that's what *I* would do :> backorders are not acceptable if the wait is more than few days.

I seriously was thinking about that but the company had a 15% off end of the year/too late for Christmas sale and free shipping so the price was really awesome ($50.00)...

Ya know, I actually ordered a Maxpedition bag from the same company and it is shipping before my BK2... I can win, FML too.
 
For that price, I'd probably wait a bit.
Here's what you do...
Convince yourself the knife is not coming until April.
Then, when it shows up at your door in a couple of weeks, it'll be like Xmas all over again.

Really, think about it. Does waiting really suck that bad. It's anticipation. The muted excitement and mental lift when you remember that it might be in today.......... Nah, it sucks hoop. Get it as soon as you can. Having sex is better than just day dreaming about it.

Did that 50 include free shipping? If not cancel, order from Amazon and it will come out a wash. If you order now it would ship tomorrow.

Don't even talk to me about sex... my wife and I just had our son three months ago and well you guys know what that means :jerkit:

I thought you only had to wait 6 weeks after technically? Or is it just too many late nights?

It's just the late nights... she is also just getting back to work. She is a nurse on overnights so some days we only see each other at the hand off.
 
I cannot win, I got notification that my BK2 should be delivered Wednesday of this week and the news just predicted 6"-12"... Geez.

It's the little things that get me through the day :D

The snow is just crazy this year. It is the third significant (+10") storm in less than 3 weeks...
 
That sucks man, hopefully they get it in stock.

I guess having to wait is the trade-off for the great price, though. I currently have an order held up on a couple of Tech Loks and some kitchen knife covers for my girlfriend so I feel your pain, my man.
