I know waiting lists can be controversial, but they may be the most democratic means of solving demand over production capacity.

Not counting custom knives ordered, I am currently on three waiting lists for production knives.

What about everyone else here? Where is the demand coming from if not the knife forums?

And because pics make threads more interesting, here are mine. All out six months to a year. I'm on the fence about adding my name for an Emerson A100. Just can't decide between the Mini or full size.

I added my name to the North Arm waiting list, but that is it. I guess I am on the Grimsmo list, but I passed on a $1200 knife that was offered to me so I am likely now off the list.

I only joined both lists as they are Canadian companies and I wanted to try their knives.

Nope, hate waiting. I don't mind preordering if it's like 4-6 Weeks out, but some waiting list is a nope for me. (Same with Raffles/Lottos for knives.)

I was on the list for a Skookum Bushtool, and it was supposed to be a 48 month wait. Four years was up over a year ago, and Rod never returned any of my emails around that time, so I don't think he's making them anymore. A shame.

I did that a few times when I was more active in the Traditional Knives subsection because the alternative is sometimes just murderously high secondary market pricing.

It would take really quite an exciting knife to get me to sign up far in advance. I’m talking ZT 0777G10 or something else that would really tic all my boxes.
