waiting on a nice you ordered is torture

I hate waiting on a nice I orderd. Nices are the absolute worst thing to wait for. Next time I order a nice I'm going to go crazy.
 
I just waited over 3 months for a delivery from Canada. It was worth it :) Was a hard slog though...

I also have a custom order thats over that time and I know that will be worth it.

Waiting... sux.

Waiting on the order to arrive is the foreplay, sit back and enjoy the anticipation.
 
I don't mind waiting for nices. It's the naughties that are the worst to wait for.
 
Tell me about it.... I ordered the spyderco southard a few days ago and it was suppose to be delivered yesterday but they sent it to the wrong post office one city over. Now I have to wait until tomorrow.... GAHHH!!!
 
Here is a copy of part of an email I received from Joel (Marketing Director) at CRKT yesterday:

"I have bad news Dann, I received word today that demand has been extremely high, so high that we have actually had to push back production.

We expect to be able to bring the Otanashi noh Ken to market in late Feb. early March.

We are taking our (very limited number of) prototypes to the SHOT Show. I just made this post on Facebook -

For the weekend I am going to leave you with the new Otanashi noh Ken review from Edge Observer. Demand has been extremely high for this knife and we have actually had to push back production. To manage all expectations it looks like we will be able to bring to market in March 2013. Stay tuned...Coming Soon

well im an idiot ordered a nice meh go me, wait still sucks, will never order a randel or one that takes months my fantsies of using said knife would drive me and my wife crazy
 
That is the way it goes with this hobby. Right now:

  • I am tracking one paid-in-full custom as it snail crawls it way through the mail
  • I have a 50% deposit on another custom that I don't expect to see before August
  • I am waiting to receive a shipping update of a paid-in-full midtech
  • I have a pre-order on another midtech that I've been waiting over a year on

<shrug>
