yup, the Farid mule is insane. CPM-REX121 is amazing, and I've batoned with it, whittled wood, and I've reprofiled it to below 30 degrees inclusive and it slices very well despite the blade thickness. 70 HRC is difficult to put a mirror polish on with the equipment I have, and I can usually put a mirror polish on pretty much any knife I've come across using the paper wheels and it takes less than 2 minutes to do both sides, literally. less than 120 seconds. REX...not so easy. I need to put handle scales on it and try my hand at making a kydex sheath.
Jonny Mac's Wharnie XL is in Elmax with LSCF. I use it outdoors a lot, for fishing and barbecuing. I tweaked the shape a bit to make it less of a sheepsfoot.
As you can see, most of my fixed blades are Fairlys (I have 2 that aren't in the pic, the original Ti Backpacker and Extreme Kiridashi) and deservedly so.
As for the custom/customized framelock folders, yours will be in good company alongside the K2, TAC-4, FrankenMilitaries, and Nath'd CQC-10.
