I previously (2016) owned a small 21 with inlays that I never really carried or cared for it much since I felt the handle was slightly undersized for my hand and I just couldn’t transition to a modern knife over all of my slip joints. Door #1 closed.
Door #2 just opened yesterday with the arrival of a new Lg. Inkosi PJ. Definitely a step up from the small knives, that’s for sure! I’ve been wanting a modern knife again and figured I’d give this one a shot. I know the pivot is adjustable but out of the box it takes both hands to overcome the detent at the moment, I can’t use my thumb with one hand to push that blade out of the closed position. It’s tight! There’s a decent amount of resistance through the whole range of motion so I know it needs some loosening. Feels great in the hand though and the size is pretty much what I’ve been looking for, not as an edc, but as an outdoors knife to compliment the fixed blades I usually carry or when I don’t have one on my belt. The jury is still out since I don’t want to adjust or do anything else to the knife yet, keeping it new in box fresh (it could be getting returned)...door #2 is being left ajar.
Door #3 should be here early next week. After previously reading crap tons of comparison threads and watching enough videos, I had been wondering if I’d like the slightly thinner blade and the handle styling of the Lg. Sebenza over the Inkosi but figured I’d check out the Inkosi first. That wonderment, with the Inkosi finally in hand, still got the best of me and the knife nuts advice is to always buy both! I have this need to check them out side by side now. So, I placed an order for the Lg. Sebenza 31 with natural micarta inlays this morning. Why the 31 over the 21? I like the front inlay being one solid piece and well, that’s about it I guess!
There’s really not much point to this thread other than that fact that I’ll be checking out my third CRK knife soon lol. Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!
