What's going on Mark -- you're slackin. :D

The fiance is heading out of town, so it's party time!! (in the shop.) Going to get a lot of work done in the shop. Just got in some Parks 50 so I'll be doing some experimenting. Also planning on doing a little dove hunting with the shop dog. :)

Now for the unmanly part -- I'm actually attending a bridal show ALL BY MYSELF. I don't care though, I'm signing up for everything I can to see if we can win some free wedding stuff. (okay, bring on the laughs. :D )

Had a brainfart,

Going to try and get a couple of projects finished up and play around with getting some hawks welded. If the weather is nice might do some yard sailing with my daughter.

Michael, I just don't know how you are going to look in that dress! You asked for it, fella! Oh, you meant, win free stuff for your beautiful bride to be. I would be worried about the company of the other gents there. They are probably shopping for themselves. Don't sit anywhere near one of those guys, they will try to hold your hand, probably. Go hunting and good luck, M. Me, I'm home scratching the worst case of chiggers I've had since I was a kid.

Hey John use some hydrocortizone on them there chiggers, bro! :( Sure glad we don't have them up here. Well, we do get a sh*tload of snow every year, so a reasonable tradeoff tit-for-tat I suppose.

Me, I'm off for a week after today. I'm gonna try to see if I can push ahead on the house repairs and mayeb get a couple knives made. The shop projects and knife projects are stacking up like cordwood.

I'm assuming this is the Friday thread. I was able to finish the knives for the gunshows I have this and next weekend. I have seven done and hope to have a good show. I'm still waiting on my t-shirts with my logo. Hopefully not to much longer. The t-shirt guy is running behind with orders. Speaking of hunting, bow season is quickly approaching. John, good luck getting rid of those chiggers, I know the feeling, been there, done that :D

Scratch *scratch* scratch, Thanks, fellas! Scratch* scratch *scratch, I'd rather have 10 feet of snow than a dose of these dam- chiggers! Scratch* scratch* scratch*! I was at a new squirrel hunting place and only saw a few tree rats, but packed home a few pounds of chiggers, evidentally. scratch*scratch* scratch*. I have tried all kinds of remedies, going to try something else today. When I worked for the chemical company I had access to industrial strength amonia. It was a good cure, just dab it on with a cuetip.

Sorry to hear about the chiggers. My rememdy is to scratch, and bleach 'em. Hurts pretty good, but anything is better than itching. As far as that bridal show goes, I'm going to be like a ninja. Sign up for stuff and sneak away. Anyone tries to talk to me -- "oh, I'm sorry, lemme go ask my fiance." Poof, I disappear. :D

I only had one chigger experience-on a excursion to Tejas. I cured it by coating them with clear fingernail polish on the advice of some locals.

If you want to meet some really nasty insects, check out the cedar gnats in the spring on the Colorado Plateau or the Black Flies up in the north woods and/or tundra in June and July.

For the weekend, along with some overdue housecleaning, I'm going to cut up some D2 and A2 and see what appears.

NC knife show tommorow. I'll get to meet Darren Ellis and some others I hope. Its highschool football with the wife and kids tonight :D

John, bandaid makes some gel called Anti-Itch gel that works real good for poison ivy  and it says for insect bites too, it goes on clear and stops itching real quick.

chiggers, cut a galrlic clove in half and rub in on the chigger.

All bloodsuckers hat garlic.

Blacksmith meet this Sat.
