Waki Handle Question

Hopefully one of you Rats picked up a couple different Wakis and can answer my question.. (both of mine were with Micarta)

i believe it is the case that G10 is a wee bit heavier than Micarta

comparing two Wakis, is there a noticeable difference in balance and/or weight??
 
Yes, the G10's are heavier, and you can feel it....But they both feel great:thumbup:

so now i have no excuse but to get the Red/Black G10 one i wanted last time..lol

anyone want to rent me their garage for when my wife kicks me out for buying too many blades????;):):)
 
what i'd like to know is - are the micarta and G10 the same size? i mean, if i build a sheath for someone who has a micarta handled Waki, using my G10 handled one, will it fit properly?

i've also heard that the G10 is heavier. i heard a couple people (on here) saying the micarta actually feels better in their hand. you can't beat the look of that 2tone G10 tho :D
 
yeah, i figured i would go for G10 this time.

i have noticed that micarta likes to hold onto stuff (i.e. odors, oil, greese, DNA, etc)

i dont want to accidently become infected after a long day of zombie de-animation...jk;)

i have had both materials in small to large blades... micarta does "feel" better bare handed.. but not much... and with gloves, not at all....imo

The guy I purchased my kydex sheath from makes two different versions----one for micarta and one for G-10 so there must be a slight difference.
