Hey guys i thought i would ask this here instead of Bugging Eric via Email.

For those of us who pre-orderded a Waki or two, how does changing color combinations effect the order status??? And when is changing our order no longer an option?

i am pretty happy with my choice of Sage/Black but i was toying with the idea of trying out the Tanker Grey.

Sorry for the newbish questions... (first time doing a SRKW pre-order):o:o

I read a post from Eric saying something like the later that you make changes to your order, the further down the order line it goes. I think he said you can make changes just before they start to go out, but your order goes in the back of the line.

Thanks:D... i am probably near the back of the line anyway...Hmmmmmm. now the question is Sage or Tanker???...maybe one of both:D

I was near the top, and then added a second to my order, so I hope I don't drop too low...

Then again, I've got three scrapper 5's on the way, and could use a bit of a break to pay them off first. I still haven't paid off all my BLADE purchases yet

i like the looks of the G10 but the Micarta is much more comfy IMO... a little oil (or zombie blood) does much to improve the appearance;)

I just sent Eric an Email requesting Tanker instead of Sage... the more pics i see of the Tanker the more i like it:)

I agree with you Dennis, Tanker is the way to go:thumbup:

Eric did say if you change your order early enough it wouldn't affect your place in line but you might want to email him directly and ask him to make sure.

I don't really care which color coating it is, as I plan to strip it and give it a ghetto satin immediately upon receipt. :D

i have never stripped sr101... how does it hold up to rust and patina???... i wonder if there is a hamon hiding under there due to the diff. heat treat....

SR101 isn't the best when it comes to rust resistance. I have some light marks on several SR101 blades after a recent chopoff.

That said, as long as cosmetic blemishes don't bother you, and you keep them well oiled, they should hold up just fine. Just be forewarned that if you're exposing them to tree sap or acidic food you might get some staining.
