Well guys it's all your falt.I read all the wal-mart threads about the 110's
and was trying to remember how long ago it was scence I got my 1976
model 110 stolen from me when I worked at the grocery store.I think it was
1977 or 1978.Anyway I went to wal-mart and paid my 23.44 for the one
in the tin. I gess it had just been too long.
Thanks Guy's

For once in my life I was in the right place at the right time. Yesterday I happened to walk into a Walmart the same day as the commemorative 110's went on sale for EIGHT DOLLARS APIECE!!!

I bought out the entire stock of 11 tins. Ebay here I come!

Welcome to BladeForums, Hawkeye5!

I think that your luck could change, if you get a new taste for purchasing Buck Knives. It's kinda amazing to watch new people reporting new and lower prices, at least in their particular part of the country, on the Buck 110 Commemorative Tins. If you decide to stroll back to Wal*Mart and get a 119 Special, an Alpha Folding Hunter, or a Buck slipjoint, you never know, you might be the first person to see those tins get reduced in price!

:( I tried finding a deal like that. I bought one of the tins before Christmas and went back after to try and find them reduced. They were all gone. Eight bucks for a 110 is worth scouting around the other wal marts in the area.

The knife went with the other 110s, and the tin has become my "knife paper work" box... it holds all my sales and shipping invoices and all that good stuff that you should hold on to.

Well if I do go back to buy another buck knife and see that they have marked them down to $8.oo then I just have to get an extra one,or two.Just to
say that I got a good deal.

    ...WOW...Whata coincidence...I happen to know someone who has a "pristine" ( cough, cough, gasp, wheeze ) 2 dot 110 he'll let go for a rock bottom bargain basement price of $45 Canadian...LMAO...Such a deal huh??...(Just kiddin')...:D :D

Y'know what i have to pay for a 110 here in Canada? around 60 dollars...

Yeah that's the price I think they were everywhere before Walmart started selling them with cloth sheaths for $30, and then of course $23.44 for the commemorative tins.

It's very odd to be able to buy an heirloom quality knife for so little money. If Walmart ever stops carrying Buck 110's I bet they'll return to the old price levels and it will be hard to believe that for a while you could get them for essentially pocket change.

Of course, all of us will be sitting pretty because anyone who reads this forum already has several I'm sure. Even just one lasts a lifetime.

It would sure be cool to buy a 110 for $8, but do you people have any idea how many 110s I have sitting around? I'm not 100% sure myself.

I bought 2 of them before Christmas. Went back after Christmas hoping to find the marked down. They only had 5 left and they would not mark them down. The guys behind the counter had already figured out it was a good deal. As people were looking for knives at the counter they were pointing them to the Tins. What were they thinking? lol. I did buy 1 more at the $23 price.

Carl64, I'm with you but it's the principle of the thing...Preston

Me too. Maybe we should use them as steak knives. Personally I would have service for 13. :D
