Has anyone bought these yet? I heard it's a blister pack with two knives one is a small toothpick and i don't know what the other is. If you have them how do you like them? and how do the pearl handles look?

Thanks

HonestTom, somebody posted on this in the past few days, but I cannot remember who that was. As I recall, there are actually two different packs with different knives in each. I checked at our local Wally and there are none out, at least at the present time.

I bought my wife a mother of pearl 309 and she promptly dropped it on our tile floor. So much for me being a nice caring husband and buying her a nice purse carrying knife. She's getting a run of the mill wood scaled version next time. :D

Tom, look for the posts in the Buck Canoe Thread. Apparently, the two knives are the Toothpick and Canoe in the one pack and the Toothpick and Trapper in the other.

To answer your question, they look like very nice beater knives. You get a canoe and a small sized toothpick for 18.99+-. They are very light fake pearl, almost white. Nice for what they are, which is chinese beaters or $9.50 per knife.

What type of steel do they use for these blades? How do they compare to a standard 110?

KP

Same steel as a regular 110, 420HC. Pretty much a stock 110 with a mirror polished blade and "Al Buck" signature engraved on the blade.

Has anybody seen the pearl canoe and toothpick sets anywhere? I've checked several Walmarts in the Central Illinois area and have yet to find them.

Tom

As none of us have set eye's on them...I don't think there were any. I sure would like someone to prove me wrong. I sure would get the set.

I saw one set go through on E-bay. I would have made a bid but the auction was combined with yet a third knife, also a Buck. If I remember correctly, it didn't receive any bids.

The two knives were mounted on card stock, no tin or anything like that.

Tom

I have gotten the one set of the toothpick and the canoe. Very nice knives. Good deal for what they are. Nice knives if you wanting one for an edc. Going to get the other(toothpick and trapper)here in a day or two. I just got a Bass Pro catalog and saw the new smooth white bone and cherrywood knives ,man I like those.
